Sorry Buzzy couldn't get on Seabreeze cos there's no internet connection up here at Gnarloo
Simon rang me at the last minute and told me he had a spare spot in the Vic gang he was bringing up here cos Fletch pulled out. Rang Johnny Pott when I got to Perth and told him we were heading up and looks like he's coming up in a couple of days.
Conditions pretty much the same as last time maybe a little more swell, about the same as our first few days last time so hopefully it builds and doesn't drop off. The sets are around 3/4 mast with southerly cross off and using 5m sail.
The days are getting up to 25 degrees but bloody cold at night.
Hardly anyone here I counted 12 on the water yesterday, I forgot how neat the waves are and I'm handling them better this time although in my usual style I've been badly drilled twice, once hitting the reef, cut my knee on the coral so I'll have to watch that closely.
Next year we'll get a Tassie crew up here, Simon got a cheap deal with the gear with qantas and he's lent me some gear, 74l JP quad with Neil Pryde sails.
Simon's been taking photos and video as part of his promotion so I'll get some up on Seabreeze tomorrow
Wish you were here, you'd be going off

Hi guys, I'm here. Been busy holidaying up Nth Queensland, lot's of wind up there. Then came home and went in a down river paddling race at Judbury in -2C. One extreme to the other, the body's in shock!! Buzzy you sound bored and is Houston really in Gnarloo?

No sailing just relaxing. Here's a photo of the scuba dive trip we went on. And one of Port Douglas where people were kiteboarding up the other end of 4 mile beach, just watching them kiteboard bored me. The top photo doesn't look that windy it was sheltered by the reef but it would have been big slalom gear winds.

Yeah well most people think I'm totally whacked, I was dreaming of our trip to Gnarloo, looked for some old photos, couldn't find any so found that photo of the sunset....that is whacky if it's yours, I guess you'd know Jay and Ken, if you see Jay say hi from Tassie, we had a bit of fun with those guys

Houston,

I have a photo of the late Kenneth Shaw right here next to me, he's always looking over me!
Will be spending September in Gnaraloo with Jay and her new man Renee.
I'll smack a couple on the last run of the day for you.

Ben.

Ben if you're a mate of Ken's you would know by now I'm not the only nut in Tassie, We sailed Gnaraloo in Sept and got 9 days out of 10, think of us when you're smacking the lip, we'll be back over there one day and look you up
Cheers Ant

LOVE YOU Kenny! Wasn't a good idea to check this at work, bit teary now.

Kaleb and Ant, I think you guys should organise another trip to Gnarloo in September. Flights range from $380 - $700. I would love to go to catch up with the gorgeous Jay but can't, you guys should go!
