I know its along way off but Sunday looks good for a team GPS day at Marion. High tide for Hobart is about 14.50.
Should be good for 1hr, NM, distance and maybe 2sec at the secret location Maybe one of the last chances for the team to try and secure 3rd Iternationallyfor 2011.
Be great if team Perks could make it down too(distance 2011)

Keep an eye on it and cancel all plans!

Will you take the speed board this time Kaleb?

I think you could set a location record if you do

Cheers Russ

I'm going to go for it but does anyone know if you can sail all around the lagoon ie down past the oyster beds, or is there that yukky weed stuff that gets stuck in your fin? I think I'll die of boredom just sailing around the usual bit for 160 kms.

Kazz you can sail down further. After you get past the oyster beds it actually opens up into a bigger bay.

Turn left at Copping, drive up over the hill a few kms, turn hard right at the bottom of the hill, drive 1.7km along the waters edge and there's a little track on the left about 30m off the water. We call it the cemetery because of all the dead people next door

We'll need extremely good scores to get back into third - we need to gain about 30 points. Doable if we can get 43 peaks with a 40kt 5x10 and improve our 1 hr and get some distance - not too much to ask for!!

Stanley was well worth the trip
It's great that Tassie is finishing off the year by posting even more PB's. All the guys up there had success in their own way. Perks smokin fast blew everyone away and Izaak ripped out an absolute jem of an Alpha. Everyone made considerable increases to their 5x10 records and many increased their 2sec standings with Jordan and Paul nearly busting the 40 knot 2sec barrier. Its great to be part of such a supportive team that strives to push each other and continue to raise the bar. Well done to all(except Perks who I'm not talking to for a short time)

And Houston should now get a special mention. He hit the water at 2pm and sailed till 9pm. His efforts may have secured our standings for this month and the year.
He had two sails rigged, a smaller one in case the wind picked up. Some caring person decided to take it, which left him overpowered when the wind increased. He battled on through crampings until finally when he had nearly decided to call it quits, the wind dropped to a more managable strength and he continued on for several more hours till he could see no more.
Well done you stupid old bastard, an awesome solo mission to show them young takkas how to put in a bitof effort to achieve some goals.Muchorespecto
