"Second weekend in October we start to get NE breezes." These are by far the best consistent winds we get in the SE region.
Tomorrow looks the go

I'll be sailing at Goats if the body lets me after living on the gastro throne since Tuesday and still going

As Goats doesn't normally get wind till after 2 oclock it can be worth heading to Marion bay around 11 and sailing there till 2-3 then drive back to Goats hit the water around 4.30 and traditionaly when Goats is 'on' the wind stays till the sun starts to dissapear, it just gets more offshore and gustier for the last hour.
For those that rely on Datacall Iron Pot to know when Goats is on, be careful their wind direction is totaly up the stuff at the mo.
BEWARE! BEWARE! IF you live closer to Hobart than Lauderdale chances are you wont even know theres any wind, yet it will be 25 knots at Goats.
WARNING! If you do head down for a sail don't go too early. Many a time people have headed down arond 12 looking for a breeze to only sit arond till 3 and then give up and go home. Only to later hear that the wind came in at 35 knots about 4 and lasted till 7.30.
