Is that in the East inlet cookie? What is a westerly like for that Chanel?

East Inlet Jez. Start your run at the end of the third channel.
A bit of rough water to start with, then along the curve of the sand bank and slingshot out into the rough water again.
I have only had good runs on the West Inlet on a Northerly so far.

Wed and Thurs look ok as well...

Just adding a few more impressions of westerlies in the East Inlet, for Jez.
Westerlies are always a lot gustier than the easterlies: direction changes as well as in strength.

This has advantages as well as disadvantages. Scuds and bullets are good for 2 sec peaks!

The run is only about half as long as in an easterly, but it's long enough.
The bank disappears with the tide about an hour earlier than the easterly side.

Westerly is pretty square to the run, but slingshot opportunities at both ends of the run. Slingshot into the southern end not quite as rough, but gets shallow and sketchy.
WSW with big gusts from SW for deeper angle is probably ideal.

If its straight W or WNW, it might be hard to drive past Port Sorell!!
