Speed sailing run - 1987

Check out this image of West Inlet, Stanley from 1987 - a nice 2.3km long run parallel with the beach in a howling NW'er on Starboard tack (same tack as Port Sorell and Henty).

Just looked on Google Earth and there is still a small channel there now. We should go down there with an excavator and give it a bit of a helping hand!!

Amazing how far the headland/dunes on the E side of east inlet have shortened up.
I had a look at Moulting Lagoon and confirms the shallow areas I have found while sailing there.
