Round 1 Wave Sailing Comp will be held in the South this weekend, either Sat or Sun 13-14 depending on the best forecast.

The location and briefing time will be determined closer to the event.

The format will be an Expression Session with a 4 person final.
An Expression Session means we all sail together as we would on a normal session in the waves. At the end of the session we all get to vote for who we think are the 4 best sailors on the day. Those 4 sailors will compete in the final to determine a result.

All competitors must be a member of Windsurfing Tas, you can join on the day if you're not already a member, we will have membership forms on the day. Competitive membership is $50 which covers all competitions for the season.
If you want more info contact comp organisers Damo 0409854754, Kaleb 0417163603, Ant 0417577884 or just Reply Post on this forum.

This is a fun event, whether you "think" you are a pro or just starting out in the waves for the 1st time you are all welcome and encouraged to compete.
Come and join da fun

Hello everyone! At this stage it is looking like SE seabreezes in the south. It is not ideal to run a wave event in light onshore conditions, but we'll have to take what we get.
Further notification will be given in the next day or so. There is a very slight possibility to hold the event either Saturday or Sunday at Clifton, but this is only a slight possibility at the moment and will rely on the flukey chance of a seabreeze.
Stay tuned!

wow!! Sunday is cranking.

Seriously...

not looking good for a comp this weekend, you do need some sort of 15 plus wind to run an event, especially if onshore.
might happen, you never know so stay tuned to seabreeze for updates.

If totally unsure you can sms me on 0409854754.
Be warned i am always unsure!
cheers Damien

Due to Houstons nuclear testing taking place at Clifton this weekend the wavesailing comp has been rolled over to next weekend.

This means everyone has the week to join windsurfing Tas ready for next weekend the 20 or 21 of October.
