The Windsurfing Tasmania curcuit guide says there's a Slalom Racing/GPS/Fun (round 2) on the weekend of the 15th & 16th Jan, is this still on?

Thought I'd shove it up on the site so people know it's on, if it is, as I think it is.
Hawley is one of the best flat water sailing spots in Tassie, great for speed and just freeride blasting.

Also Bakers Beach just out through the heads is great for jumping and those who dare is the ideal spot to learn to loop, trust me I've spent days trying and never succeeded.

Izaak what's the go?

That's the way Jez, just stand up and lay the law down. If that doesn't work, go the back hand method!
Thats where you let her beat you with the back of her hand until she's satisfied, then feeling bad because she's made you bleed so much she lets go! Works a treat

Great to see that reaction, need to get the word around, especially in Launceston and the coast, make it bigger than the Dorans Extravaganzer

I'll put it on the Vic forum cos I'm pretty sure there's a few guys coming over for the Marrawah week and it will top there trip off nicely with a bit of speed/freestyle/blasting.

Also great to get a few up from the south, it's only a 2.5 hr trip from Hobart to Hawley.

I can't make it as a week at Marrawah will be enough for Prue, unless when I'm driving home I get lost and end up at Hawley, I'll just play my cards when the time comes.

Fos, any chance of putting this on top of the forum with the Marrawah Fun Week.

Let's get this cranking

Ant if you blend in a bit of site seeing and touring with Prue at Marrawah, she may not be able to resist Hawley.

I'm going solo, will be driving up first thing Sat morning and have booked into the Shearwater Resort for Sat night, which should only be a stones throw away from the action. If anyone wants to crash on the foldout sofa bed they're welcome to.

Might even have to throw the golf club in for a quick 9

I'll be there, probably head up early Saturday with Geri. Steve will be coming up as well. Sounds like it should be a good turnout.

Remember that you will need to be a member of Windsurfing Tasmania to compete in the slalom, so if you're not already, get your form in. Membership on the day will be OK too. Also bring a lifejacket if you have one. There should be plenty of spares for anyone who doesn't have one (just for the racing).

Won't be coming to Hawley now, broke my slalom mast at Stanley so can't use my slalom sails until I get another 460 fat mast. Don't particularly want to race with wave sails. Came back to Hobart this arvo....was a bit over the rain and spending the cash on accommodation. Had a ball at Stanley though, good to catch up and sail with the guys from up north.

Can't make it to Hawley, I'm back at work after finding out Wed night our factory in Brisbane was 2.5 M under water.......but s.... happens.

More importantly the forecast looks good and you're going to have a ball this weekend.

Look out for a Germany couple who rang me yesterday, I told them about Hawley and they were keen to get over there so if you see them make them welcome. Could not quite get his name but it sounded like Bjorn. They are watching this site so hopefully they find there way over.
They are really keen on Marrawah next week as they're into waves so if somebody, Kaleb if you're there, could draw a few maps of all the good wave spots

Have a great time everyone.....I'm sooo jealous
