points will be on and solid as well - I will be swapping my 67L and 4.2 for something a little smaller ( like a 5'8 and no sail ). might come down the beach in between thaw outs and watch some action - have fun

I dont think it will happen, wind is west- south west, no good and swell is biggest in many years so seven mile will be a massive 'dump'.
I think we will have to look somewhere else.
Perhaps the bombora off seven mile?. like we sailed a couple of years ago.
Cheers

Hey Stavros - are you talking about that bommie we sailed summer b4 last when the points were small ? "reef spot xx" ? or "cant say bay" ? From memory it was 3/4 mast and 4.2, but it gets bigger as time goes by . it will be off the show tom. BOM are upgrading the 4cast this pm.

Saturday 9 July
Storm force wind warning for Saturday for South East Coast
Winds West to southwesterly 40 to 50 knots.
Seas 6 to 7 metres decreasing to 5 metres during the afternoon.
Swell Southwesterly 8 to 10 metres increasing to 10 to 11 metres from the late morning.
Weather Damaging surf.

Now thats one hell of a forecast
With that we should sail out from Red Ochre Beach at Dodges Ferry and head straight out onto the bombie half way between Tigerhead Bluff and Seven Mile.
We did it a couple of years ago on a similar forecast it was a real blast
