Alderman Heather Chong is coming down to the Lagoon 6pm next Tues 22nd to meet the Local Residents and windsurfers to discuss the MAST Development Application.
Please come down, again we need as many people as we can get to talk to Heather to get her over the line. I know Heather and I think she is probably pro development so we'll have to do some work to convince her to vote our way.

Had discussions with Lyn Sell (local) tonight, we are looking for someone to take up the arguement from an environmental view point. We have a couple of people in mind but if any of you guys are good at researching and feel strongly about the environment could you plesae contact me.

Thanks everyone for your support last time, we certainly made an impression.

I raised this DA at the Windsurfing Tas AGM at Stanley and great to see they are supporting what we are doing down here, so we've got all the sailors in Tassie behind us. We can now use the Windsurfing Tas letterhead for our submission to Council.

We're waiting for the MAST DA to be submitted to Council before we put in our submissions.

Don't forget the safety issue's, width of the road, increased traffic, pedestrians getting run over etc: Council won't care about windsurfers, not in my backyard, blah, blah. We need to emphasize how unsafe it will be.

A good group representing the locals, windsurfers and Clfton paddlers had a very positive meeting with alderman Heather Chong tonight.
Pretty sure we have her over the line which makes 5 out of 12 councillors against the Development Application, need to get a couple more and we could nail this and save it for ever.
We now have a group preparing an Environmental submission so that will just about cover all angles; Local Residents, Oyster Growering, Windsurfing, Clifton Paddlers and Environmental.
