Any thoughts on where to go sailing this afternoon? Looks like there'll be a southerly with a very low tide mid-afternoon ...

Maybe on the River off Sandy Bay?

I'm up for a sail and try the new 8.6 sail out

at low tide the lagoon gets a narrow channel quite flat
but the river gives a NM, heaps of chop, and a hard effort home if it drops.

Decisions

let me know and I'll follow like sheep

Not a bad little spash out at Clifton with 10 out on the water
Colateral damage was 2 ripped sails and Hamish/Grevill sounded like he broke his foot, hope you're OK mate.
How did our mainland contingent fair on the lake?
Could get another round tomorrow with a bit of luck

gday Damien,

well maybe one day, thing is i needed a break after starting so young as you can see here :)

www.seabreeze.com.au/Media/View/7629/Windsurfing/back-in-1992/

but yeah with advent of 1080p helmet cam and GPS it's growing on me and the local crew is world class in that sort of thing after all!

happy to kitesurf this summer, landboard during winter, but in summer 2012/13 i wouldn't mind looking at the new gear and something other than a slalom board and big fully cammed c. 2000 NP VX sails!! man those were a bugger to get on the mast, and if you forgot one, you'd have to start over...

see you around, probably going to marion tomorrow.
