35 knots from the southwest could be OK at Bell Buoy on Saturday. I will be there around midday .....probably.

Sunday is starting to look pretty good to.

Bell buoy seemed the best guess on Saturday for wavesailing and though the swell was small and messy it was definitely worth the trip . This is probably the only spot on the north coast that would have a rideable wave in these SW wind conditions. At times it was gusting through to 35 kts and at others almost glassy with a wind line about 300m out.

Jason and I sailed for around 2 hours and despite being both underpowered and overpowered at times scored a decent number of waves but also did a little swimming.

Thanks, I know those waves were mostly harmless but they still deserved a kicking.

I think it's happening Houston. Jordan now has my old Evo, and Izaak mentioned somewhere he's getting a FSW. The whippersnappers can cruise up the speed strip, cross the rivermouth and be wavesailing Bakers in 2 minutes from their front doors. They could even stop and get a few abs from the front of the island on the way home, but I think my mates and I cleaned them out 25 years ago!
I reckon james will just have to get a wave board too (peer group pressure), so that'd be 3 up and coming wave sailors.

wow nice one easty,yes got my FSW now James is looking into a wave board.But will never pass up a speed sesh for a wave sail at this point in time.but cant wait to get the wave board out on my race sail in a easterly wind could do a ripper 1hr.and then hit the waves with my wave sail.

Good to see you're going to give the waves a crack, you've got it on you doorstep, at your age you'll be looping in know time, trust me I'm 58 and still trying, wave sailing adds a new dimension but don't stop trying to hit the 40 knots, trust me I'm 58 and still trying
