Had a good sail at south lagoon on Friday before the storm arrived and blew us off the water. Where is everyone planning to sail Sunday. ? Conditions look good from mid morning. Plenty of time for pancakes before a sail.. ! Alan is suggesting east. I plan to bring the camera so I can post a few more sailing shots, hopefully it won't float way on a wave surge this time.

Bell Buoy!!

Been too much "work" going on lately, am planning to sail somewhere tomorrow... maybe the waves or Port sorell depending on how the forecast pans out....

I'm keen on a wave sail if the wind comes in today maybe east or Bell Buoy

I'd like to come and watch so if it is a goer could someone please post where?

Great sail at Bell buoy, overpowered on under 5m

Good waves and not much rain, would have been worth the drive Izaak... could have been a novelty seeing you in the Tamar area

Come on. Name them up. Who put on a great show at Bell Buoy today? No need to be shy. Everyone was great! I could relate to the guy who looked to be just starting in the waves but he was having a really good crack!

Weather must have been kinder up north, rain and then floods down here. Guys sailed the pond though.

You have to be universal these days

We sailed at lagoon in the end, didn't get many picks because I was having too much fun sailing.
Plus it got fairly dark as can be seen from the photo of Geoff and Jason on the water.
Observations suggested it was 28-32 knots and fortunately it wasn't as cold as it looked

I only have two pictures from today thanks to Al.

Good to see I've not been totally forgotten. Haven't got a board in the water yet up here but I'm keeping a watch on what is happening at home.

This was in fact Alex's 4th sail....EVER (or maybe only his 3rd...not sure). He managed to negotiate the shore dump and teach himself how to 'dry start' (step on) IN the shore dump, steer, produce power, stay on, and even get a few hops over the waves. On a number of occasions as I was sailing in I thought that he was Greenie sailing out.

Probably the most impressive performance in the waves that I have ever seen - all things considered.

Alex has paid the price though - after battling the cold 30 knot wind, with no harness, for about two hours he had worn his hands down most of the way to the bone - there was blood literally flowing out of them.

Anyone who thinks that they are hard-core.........

Be away a little time yet. 6 weeks to go. Heading up the coast soon and hope to get a sail at Elliot Heads near Bundaberg.
