Hi all,
I'm planning to come down to Tassie this summer (January) to visit friends and family that I haven't seen since I moved back to Europe 7 years ago. I've been wanting to learn windsurfing for months now and this seems like the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful coast lines of Tas while trying out a new sport that I can also practice at home. Are there any possibilities in the southeast to learn the basics, rent some gear, etc.? I'd preferably go every day and join other beginners if possible. Any suggestions and tips are appreciated!
Cheers from the Netherlands

Hi Elska
There are many great places to sail in Tasmania and also quite a few places that are safe to learn. We have learning gear available through Windsurfing Tasmania in both the north and the south of the state and can be borrowed by becoming a member of WT at a cost of $35 for a year and a donation towards the upkeep of equipment would be appreciated. Let us know when you get here and we can point you in the right direction to get started. Check out...www.thespotguide.com.au/TAS/index.html
