Is NW any good for PS? Tomorrow is looking rather windy for there.

Get Mort on the line - I think he has a handle on the PS wind.

Greens Beach however WILL be cranking - glassy smooth - long runs - big gaps between waves...

Port Sorell should be good, but possibly too NW, so I'm planning to head to Stanley and get there around midday. Haven't tried the third channel in that direction, but others have and that's probably the best run now heading off in a NE direction.

Perks, Cookie, Ben, Rustbucket and others are far more qualified than me to comment on PS sandbar for GPS shenanigans. The NW forecast often ends up with more West in it, suiting PS better.

I'm considering a look at Bakers in the NW'erly for waves, but a bit cautious given the forecast (vs skill level) . Nothing ventured, nothing broken

The sandbar at Port Sorell didn't seem to even appear until quite close to low tide if at all. Swell coming into the mouth of bay was much bigger than normal. Photo from the Baker's beach side.

Great photo Mort, looks like fun or was it too treacherous?
