I took a trip out to Port Sorell on Tuesday with the high tide, storm surge and 25-35 knot Northerly all day at the airport, increasing to 30-40. Sailed off Freers beach because the South end of the bay was getting smashed and had a first go with my GoPro. Not great sailing footage but the conditions were fairly unusual.

Nice Mort looks like it was worth the trip! I went to the sand bar at low tide for the first time today as conditions looked alright and during my first run the wind dropped to almost nothing and swung to the SW . I? reckon the current was moving me more than my sail. Oh well next time!

That looks great for some good wave riding. Guessing you gotta get the tide right? Will put those conditions in the memory bank for next time I'm up.

Its best in a solid North Easterly at lower tide than this for ramps and riding small waves that wrap around the bay, this day was strong Northerly which is quite unusual.
Kazz, I'm very happy with the blades. I've also got a 4.2 that still hasn't got wet
G4K....Note to self.. swear less when the wind drops, and edit with volume up

I got the Hero5 session. $300 with UHD and stabilisation. I must admit I'm impressed with the result for the price.
I've made up a clew mount but haven't tried it yet.
