Hi all,

I am moving to Launceston in a few weeks to study at the AMC and am keen to meet people to windsurf with.

I only have wave / freestyle gear but am keen to go out wherever to get some time on the water.

If anyone is interested or knows who I could contact that would be great!

Cheers,

Mitch

Mitch, there is a good crew up north who wavesail and freestyle/bump/jump.
They will introduce themselves on the forum. there is already a mainland import who wavesails at AMC and us guys down south occassionaly make trips to Marrrawah and hopefully low head/bell bouy soon!
cheers Damien

Hi Mitch,
There are a good bunch of guys sailing wave/bump and jump in the north.

Tend to be hard to get them to talk in the first instance about their movements though....

Sailing is best up near Low Head, many places to choose from on either side of the Tamar. Check out Jonny's spot guide; thespotguide.com.au/TAS/index.html

Best thing would be to post here when you are thinking about sailing, usually someone will be about.

When you get here let me know

Hi Mitch

If you come up to Lagoon Beach at Low Head on any weekend day when the seabreeze (NW) is blowing you will more than likely find a few sailors out and about.

Just say hi and see what is going on. A few have been sailing at East Beach (ocean facing) lately, but the last few times I've sailed there the waves have been non-existent.
