Its looking good for Low Head this arvo with a 20 to 30 westerly forecast swinging SW late.
I should be down there (Bell Buoy or East) around 1pm.

I probably headed down with the wrong psychology for a winter sail and just packed my small gear expecting it to be howling, I didn't check the observations before I left and more importantly didn't check the tide. The wind was a very swirly 12 to 18 kts and the tide was high and still coming in, it turned out to be a 3m tide which is pretty high and was killing the clean westerly ground swell. So no sailing but a good reminder to bring a couple of boards next time and go earlier as the change comes through and the tide is a little lower.

When September comes and it warms up i'll head up north for a sail with you. Maybe you can get me to pull off my first forward loop. Watched a new DVD the other night and it got me hyped up about pulling it off before I'm 60 and f!@@#?

It would be great to see you up here, not much of a looper myself but seeing Oli and Terry go for it during the nationals was pretty cool, maybe its not to late to learn.
