Went up to Low Head with Paul aiming to do some good distance. Was very choppy with huge tidal movement all day helping me to see parts of the river I have never seen before weather i wanted too or not however the wind was very consistent probabdly around 25 all afternoon.

Now that im finally in both footstraps I left the safety of the lagoon for the first time on a short board. Tide was ripping in - usually the river flattens out a bit more than this.

Nice photos Ben, how were the arms after that marathon sail on Boxing Day? The wind was fading when Jason and I got on the water..... work can really disrupt the windsurfing lifestyle.

FYI the seabreeze did fill in on Tuesday. I got down there around 5pm and had a fantastic hour and a half on the water. The chop smoothed out as the tide dropped and we got some premium blasting conditions though having Flood blast past me like I was standing still was a reminder that I still have a lot to learn about flat water sailing.

Arms were fairly sore yesterday. Holding the 7m in that wind didnt help but im very happy with how well it worked in 25+ knots.

I have a lot of respect for the guys doing 100 and up to 500km in a day, unbelievable. I was actually aiming to get 100-150km but realizing how ambitious that was im happy with 50..... for now.

We came over to east beach after we packed up to see how you were going and it looked very marginal, so im glad you got a good run Tuesday. Sounds like the river wasnt as angry as the day before. Cant wait to get down there again!

Monday is looking good for Stanley.... You should come try GLASS flat water Al
