Sorry guys very disappointing but Damien has just come back from Dorans to say the wind is already too strong to send any learners out on the water and the forecast is for stronger winds in the afternoon. SAFETY has to come first.

It's a pity but windsurfing is all about wind and waves and we're in the hands of the gods

However we'll be down at Dorans between 11am - 1pm to talk to anyone that wants to rock up and learn a bit about windsurfing and how you can get started.

While the learners might be disappointed there is a positive, the strong wind forecast over the next week is great news for sailors all over the state, the phones have been running hot especially for the guys up north that will be heading out into 25-40knots ................... so there will be action.................... and learners don't stay learners for long so it won't be long before you like us will be hoping every day's a windy day.

Sorry we had to cancel the day, as it turned out it was a good decision as it blew pretty hard all day. We will hopefully give it another crack early in the new year but this time we'll call it at short notice just a few days out so keep an eye out on this forum.
