Ended up at the Lagoon after much frustration and procrastination with a gusty 20k northerly, all except for Kazza who was the only one with gutz and headed down to Marion, what was it like down there Kaz?
Big Dave took the photos (yesterdays photographer definitely better looking), Brett sat and watched after nearly breaking his foot at goats Saturday, good turn up of sailors - Andy, Jordon, Damo, Jez, Artis, Jodie, Rob, Kaleb, Ant

Marion was so bumpy, I was out there with 7 kiteboarders!!! Had 5.2 on planning all the time......but.....the same thing happened to me as did in 1996. It's such a treacherous place. I was dogging out through some waves about 50m off shore and a wave got me and separated me from my gear, those horrible 1996 visions came back again. I couldn't touch the bottom and there was a sideways current heading towards the spit. I started to tremble but kept calm and kept catching the waves in....then I felt the bottom and clawed my way in. The worst thing was there was only kiteboarders to help me if I got stuck again, I suppose they could have teabagged me back to shore. Anyway after that I thought stuff this, lifes too short, so I packed up and came home. I think someone was looking after me this time, my guardian angel (Pete).

Crap Kazza, you are NOT to go down there ever again without other windsurfers. I remember that day so well (in 1996 - geez is it that long ago)! Pete would definitely be watching over you! Glad you are okay xx

Well at least I only touched the buoy and didn't hit the boat like I think one of the guys did!

Kazza, not a nice experience and we were poncing around in the lagoon, we should have been down there with you, you've got gutz darling, watching you sail the waves at Goats is an inspiration but you do tend to take risks, follow me next time i'm a risk mitigator, trust me[}:)][}:)]
