I just bought a JP slalom 68 - 104 ltr and it came with a 27cm fin, I'm looking for something more in the 32-34 cm range. Has anyone got one they want to get rid of. Preferably up North but it doesn't really matter. If you want to offload one either PM me or ring me on 0408 599 212. Of course just when I pick up another board and gagging to ride it the forecast is rubbish.
Hi Wayne, well done on the new purchase (so it's you who put a curse on the wind)!! You could probably go a bit bigger than 34cm and perhaps get two fins to get the most out of the board. I haven't checked for the JP's, but if you were getting C3 Venoms (which are pretty popular), may be a 40cm for lighter winds and 36 for stronger winds for that sized board?
Wayne I just listed a C3 40cm Sting on Seabreeze yesterday. I bought it for my 107 but its a tad too small. Would be perfect for the 104. Its under accesories (look for Severne booms).
I'm quite open to advice, I'm only going on what I've used in the past. I was looking at Kalebs board and I was hooked, I started looking at JP slalom boards the next day after that Henty session. I bought the board off of Peter Johnston in VIC. He said he shared a house with a few of you guys at the speed fortnight and he said to say hello. He sounded pretty jealous when I mentioned the great day we had at Henty.
Dave, can you give me a price on a GPS, it's probably about time I found out how fast ( or slow ) I really am going after all this time. Bit scared to look after seeing you guys go past like I was standing still.

hey waynos a few fins my dad has for sale here, but probably a little too small...were in Port Sorell.
Nice purchase Wayne good work on looking to get a gps, you'll have to joint the team The wind will be back very soon, look forward to catching up for another sail in the near future, Henty was great fuuuuuuuun
Wayne, get a GT31 GPS. Geared4knots can get one for you or check out sailboard shops on the mainland, as they'd post one down to you quick enough. About $200 is a good price, then you need an SD card ($10) and a waterproof pouch ($30) - lots of advice on pouches on this forum, but most use the Paqua Midi. Well done on the board purchase!!
Hi Ron, might be OK off Ocean Beach where the main carpark is, but not worth trying to get in where we go sailing as you'd still have to cross the river to get to the beach. The sand is soft in places, especially up above the water-line, but at lower tides could be OK, certainly long stretches!
Thanks Dave and Kazza, Sorry to hear about the Prado[}:)].]
Dave I put that last sail into Steve Walkers today and I think it is going to be great and certainly will look the part and If it is as fast as I hope[}:)] LOOK OUT!. Ron
Didn't hurt the Prado at all, just gave it a good hose down when we got back to Strahan that's just Buzzy being a smart arse as usual or should I say jealous because his 4WD doesn't have the sparkle factor.
