We are going to be in Ulverstone on Saturday night to attend a function and I was wondering if it would be worth taking the gear to go for a sail on the Sunday. The forcast is for Northerly winds up to about midday and I was thinking of going for a sail before heading home.
Which beach would be better with the forecasted winds, and is anyone else interested?

I will be keen along with a few others. Forecast isn't that good but may get a good seabreeze.

Keen to catch up Izaak but I will not be able to hang around for too long, probably just a little after noon so will miss the sea breeze. Where do you reckon would be a good place to try first?

In northerly/ NE best head to Port Sorell, the good thing is that it is only 500m between the two really. Forecast is not looking promising at all. Cross fingers for an early sea breeze....

To my friends in the north. I just checked the guru and the forecast is hopeless. Looks like yet again I am going to have to shelve my plans. Thanks for the replies but I don't think I'll even bother to take the gear.
