Blowing 24-30kts at Marion at the moment.

Marion wont be to much fun tomorrow arvo, low tide is in the arvo I reckon i'll head down really early in the morning and check it out, high tide is about 7.40am and is about 1.4. I think Russ is keen to do the same, we had a really good sail a few months ago on a similar forecast.

Stop thinking Marion Lagoon and start thinking about the Yard! Low tide dont matter too much out there. Why not mix in a bit of vertical into your horizontal sailing

I was thinking a bit more like the Yard side, bit of jumping and jarring.

agree with Kazza and buzzbox - the yard rather than flat water ! Providing there is enough wind, ramps have to be more fun than ripples.

Sounds like Fun

Let me know if I can't sail then I'll go swimming again and take some better shots this time.

Maybe buzz can carve hard next to me this time.

So where will we go? I don't want to go down to Marion again and find I'm the only one with a bunch of kiteboarders again.....don't like it down there on my own.

Rippa day! Spend a bit of time at Marion Lagoon with the slalom mob, then grabbed the 4.7 and headed out to the Yard for a couple of hours with Damo, Jordan, Kazza, Pete and Ant. Broke a boom head rope and had to wash into the beach, lucky the outhaul was long enough to cut it in half with a shell and i was back out there. Jordan went through his 4.2 and totally destryed it, the little bugga then walked it about 2km back to the car and returned with his 5.0 and somehow managed to handle it all afternoon. Pretty dam awesome effort for a fly weight 14 year old.

i was stuck sitting on the beach with a way too big kite in the car. saw you guys ripping along out there, i looked up observations from maria and tasman is, readings of 25 to 45 knots, so was 25 to 35 knots out there i reckon! nice jumps and rolls.

Grossly overpowered with 6.4 during mid afternoon at Mortimers - calmed down about 430 ish and seemed to be coming back in as I was going thru Rokeby. Pretty bumpy for flat water sailing and very low tide just to give that additional walking exercise that one craves after a sail. Sorry I missed you guys. Damo - this boom has survived two Latte outings - thats promising.
