I've made a GPS group thing on WhatsApp. If any GPS sailors want to be on it sent me through your mobile phone numbers (PM me) and I'll add you on the list so we can let it other know who's going GPS sailing & where. I enjoy sailing with others so good way to communicate.

Good idea... but

Just encourage more GPS sailors to use the current group
the existing group lets ALL sailors know where the wind is and what going on. gps, general , waves. All post and everyone knows where to go.

I dont think those who sailed at Marion Today would join Whats app. I know for a fact one of them said they have no time for it. Kazz some GPS sailors let you know after the event, thats the way it is and fair enough. Downside is people interested in GPS miss out on having a go at a good spot when its on, when the TOP sailors are out.

Steve, Tim, Yourself, Jez and more are all active on GPS and Whatsapp and let everyone know where you are. Thankyou.
Your reports are also good for non gps sailors ..I.E Letting more know Marion is on, causway, etc. Places most dont always sail but wahtsapp has let them know its on..Therefore more sailors on the water .
The reason we have not started a wavesailing whats app as it is too specific for the low numbers of sailors we have in south tas.
I think keeping it general has definitely got more people on the water in the last year.
If you start a new group please still post on the general whatsapp.
