Is there still a calendar of events for course racing in Tas?

There isn't for formula racing specifically, but on a saturday afternoon at the RYCT (Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania) we have racing on and get a pretty good turn out on the RSX's and Techno's. I could ask if there was an availability to include other classes with us, because we race alongside other 'sailing' classes and have limited course space, but it would be awesome to get the number up!

Yes Kaz Buzzy is looking after it shouldn't be too long before he throws it up on Seabreeze for anyone's comments

Jock would be good if you could include other craft such as formula in your races. Last year there wasn't enough people to keep the comp going so we pulled it but I'm sure some of the formula guys would be keen.

I have recently purchased a formula board and would be interested in doing a few races if some thing was organised.

I think Deviot yacht club had a few organised races, and occasionally a windsurfer would join the fleet.

Rustbucket and I had talked about going along with our raceboards and having a go, provided the Deviot crew were okay with that.

Johnny and I joined in on a race at Deviot last season and they were welcoming and keen to have us there more often. If we race there regularly we would have to join the club but they said we could come occasionally as visitors. I can have a look at their calender for this season and maybe pick one of their events that we could join in on as an event for WT if people are keen. I can have a chat DSC to see if it's viable. I know I would participate and a few other locals as well. Deviot is an interesting and challenging place to sail with regular sea breezes and strong currents. They are mostly Dingy"s and Cat"s.
