Wow I'm gonna get flamed for this I'm sure but anyway.

If your not going to watch the grand final it looks like a great day of westerlies, any preference or will Dorans do ?

Yep - Damo I think i'm in. Chart looks like the morning might be better anyway and there is supposed to be some swell. Could get a sail and still catch the footy - and at worst the business end of the game anyway.

Jez,
windy now, and warm.
only going to get better.
SDaturday, swell is going to be 5-6m, so will have to keep an eye on that.
Carlton waste of time if closing out.

Thanks to Marlon for helping recover my gear after the first short session.

Even Houston was there in his wheel chair.

WOW what a great day. Firstly Marlon & me rigged up for the 15knots. Then we hid from the rain until it dropped from 35knots. Then I went out and got taken with tide.

Well after a 1/2 hr wait the wind started again cross on.

I can barely type what a great day. Maybe not as special as an albatros but still good.

Twas an awesome day FoS. No wonder you can hardly type, you were the first one out and the last one in. Well and truly worked off the Ryvita and the Tuna I reckon. The little help I provided was the least I could do after seeking refuge in the Transit during those rain squalls. The Transit will undoubtedly be the weapon for windsurfing road trips.

Thanks Damo for the suggestion to head down there. Despite the undeniably fickle nature of Carlton we have had two wins from two starts as far as Seabreeze sailing days down there. Promise to have have the Barby in operation for the next one !

Great to have Anthony there who no doubt snapped some good pics. I think we need to make the most of his services over the next few weeks :-)

Conspicuously absent was Russ who was spotted rigging up at Dorans and who no doubt has developed an unhealthy addiction to his GPS ;-) Annthony, I think you should upload a few photos to show hime what he missed :-)

Sounds like you guys had a good day. I only just got back from a week bushbashing in the NW wilderness, covered in cutting grass cuts and leech bites. Might be up for a sail tomorow, haven't even checked the forecast yet.

Got some good pics at Carlton yesterday, will post them tomorrow, can't do it on this laptop.
Marlon I'm happy to be the resident photographer and sausage sizzler but it's only fair I get paid, my preference is, in kind, not money. 5.2 weeks to go and I'll be back on the water.
Kaleb and Damien got straight into it with at least a dozen forward loops each. Damo was pulling them off the back of the wave on the way back into the beach. Brett made three attemped back loops on small waves and ended up on his back. Some of you young guns need to give this a crack, get your arses off the water and get a bit of air.
I think Big Dave (Fos) was the star of the day ripping and swimming on his 150L "wave board" and a 6m sail, well done Dave.

I agree - you definitely need to be paid in kind Anthony ! Only problem is my initial thought would be suasages abd beer which would be on hand but might be off the menu now ? I guess we COULD find out where FoS gets his cruskets and tuna from ? The other thought is, your probably Ok with a couple of glasses of red wine. I guess we might have to up the quality a bit if quantity is limited :-)

great day,
good for a change, and lucky to pick the wind!
even when there is no swell (as there nearly was!) carlton is a great spotr to sail in strong west winds. Especially for jumping.
park beach is a great in south west.
lets hope we get a few more sails at Carlton this season .

Bring it on!!!

I'll be there next time, just had to get some training in for Freycinet before the footy, cause I'm an Aussie. 2 weeks of training to go, then I'll be free for sailing.

Steve love to come over to your house and take photos preferably when your not around, could be more interesting.
Sorry Fos bit slow posting those photos, you know what I'm like with computors, it gives me the s#@$!! the card and the cord won't work on this laptop and Rosie's boyfriend has pinched the other for his studies. Ch@#! when has uni come before sailing photos. Hopefully get it back tomorrow.
