Easter West Coast Wave Sailing comp/fun weekend - Marrawah
29th March - 1st April

The competition can be held on any day over Easter which has the most suitable forecast for the event.
The format will be the usual Expression Session which means all sailors get to sail and then each has a vote for who you judge are the best sailors on the day.

This is a fun event, open to anyone that wants to give the waves a crack and is recommended for intermediate to advanced sailors.........maybe not beginners.

Don't be fooled by the Red Bull event that happens once a year, most of the sailing on the west coast has moderate waves often around head high and pretty soft, let's hope we get the wind.

Watch this post for updates closer to Easter

Why the personal attack? I just said it was a stupid comment; I wasn't attacking the idividual! Not in the way you two stupid inbred wankers have!!

Looks like the swell will start picking up Wednesday, and continue increasing right through the weekend. Hopefully the wind does the right thing, not looking too bad though... the long range for the swell is usually pretty reliable...

Buzzy being you are the esteeeeeemed wave sailing coordinator how do you want run the Expression Session.

Could I suggest we make a call for the 2 best forecast days over the Easter break so guys that only have a couple of spare days to get up there and get back home, others will stay the full 4 days.

Should be a bit of fun, cross your fingers for some good conditions.

Anyone who thinks they're not up to the west coast take a leaf out of Fos's book, he started in the waves just after he learnt how to water start and well before he could pull off a jibe............so come over rip it up and join the fuunnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!

Due to unforseen circumstances beyond the control of our esteemed leader; The Marawah Comp has been cancelled.

As a consolation, there will be a day trip somewhere!(Maybe Bruny)

Hard call but a good one Kaleb

We've been watching the forecast closely, mostly west to northwest winds with only a short window of SW and that's been changing regularly, not good conditions for Marrawah, best we call it off and not be disappointed

................one thing we are sure of and that is Marrawah will always be there for another day

Not sure about Bruny, I've experienced the Bruny Ferry at Easter coming back and it can be a very looooong wait.
