I agree - wow.

Just noticed the 'control' bar if you click-on EARTH and you can advance the frames at 3-hr intervals!! OMG - that is so cool!!

I sat there mesmerised for an hour checking the wind around the globe and thought wouldn't this be great if we could get a forecast..................now I'll have another look

Works for me on Firefox, Mac OS X 10.8.5...
