Hey guys the annual Dash for Cash is on again this Australia Day Sunday 26th January.
Its part of the Sandy Bay Regatta outside Prossors restaurant, Sandy Bay. Briefing will be at 1.30pm with a 2.30pm start. If there is no wind the latest start time will be 3pm. Entry fee $10.
Buoyancy vests are compulsory. This event is not part of windsurfing Tasmania. The Regatta association would like us to hold a couple of mini races after the Dash. There will be a couple of prizes for this as well. Apparently there will be some buoys set up for the rowing that we can use. I am going to a meeting this Tuesday to discuss a few things with the committee.

Guys I'm a professional on the circuit going to Marrawah for the wave comp then down to Sandy Bay after the prize money.
Maria Sharapova made $29M last year on the tennis circuit if I can win a pie and a beer at the Dash for Cash I'd say that's a good start

Maria Sharapova made $29M for grunting!!! She would have to be the most irritating tennis player to watch, I'm glad no one grunts while sailing.....only maybe Artis

Skim boarding, basically hyper extended my arm, causing a Small fracture somewhere near my elbow... Fingers crossed I'm out of it by next Friday....

Hey guys, thanks for the great turn out today with 14 starters. Heaps of fun as usual. Wind was light at the start and as we got across towards the mark a dodgy NE reared its ugly head. That made really hard work of it as we had to do 2 laps. The formula boards dominated but a few more knots and a steady direction who knows. Well done to Dave who smashed it, Will second and Stewy 3rd. After myself and Fos finally got back in we started 3 mini races across to the eastern shore and back. Dave made it a clean sweep winning all 3 races. I thought I had the last race in the bag and jibed early on the other side to make sure I would win. Dave came out of no where to snatch the win, arrgghh. The only disappointment was there were no pies or beers as promised by the Sandy Bay Regatta Assoc. A few of the guys wisely helped themselves before we all got kicked out of the club room Next year we will make sure we have a supply of beers, Wild Turkeys and food. Anyway pretty happy that we got wind because the forecast was pretty bad. Till we meet again.

Thanks Kazza for picking up the helmet much appreciated. I was in a bit of a rush to get to a family BBQ in the end.

Dave Huge chance for Huon to sponsor the event with Huon Salmon pies. Well done on the clean sweep

Super fun blasting on the big gear in the end after a slow start. The slalom racing looked so fantastic from where we had the BBQ upper Sandy Bay fantastic to see all those red sails streaking across the bay.

Fantastic effort Steve as always
