After a quiet little discussion at Dorans tonight instead of sailing with Crackerjack at Clifton (yes we hold our heads in shame) the idea was muted Cloudy Bay could be an option Saturday and Sunday.
Forecast looks pretty good we think with Sunday the better or the two.
A few of the guys are talking about camping overnight so check the weather load your cars with windsurfers SUPS and surfboards if the forecast holds we could be in for a good couple of days.

Cant decide between Marrawah and Cloudy. Watch Felix to get motivated.

Fos Marawah looks good if you're up there definitely worth a trip over good wind good swell.
Cloudy is usually fickle wind but this weekend could be good haven't sailed there in years but it's great when it works so I'm giving it a shot.

I'd be keen for cloudy Bay. Will it be a bit busy over there being Easter though? Might be hard getting on the ferry

Marrawah for me at some stage the Bruny ferry will be crazy , will leave cloudy for a more west/ NW pattern when Carlton is to small and I can't make it to greener pastures (bellboy)

Haven't been over to Bruny for Easter for a few years now but used to go there every Easter to my sisters shack and the ferry was JUST ok on the way over (if you go at odd times) and ridiculous on the way back with cues for km's. Not sure what it's like these days but I know the toilets can't keep up with all the increase in tourists

Happy Easter one and all

A man wanted an Easter pet for his daughter.
He looked at a baby chick and a baby duck.
They were both very cute, but he decided to buy the baby chick.
Do you know why?
The baby chick was a little cheeper!

What does the Easter Bunny get for making a basket?
Two points like any other player

What do you call a short, bossy French rabbit?
Napoleon Bunny-parte

Did you hear the story about the Easter Bunny who sat on a bee?
It is a tender tale

What do you get when you cross a clam and a rabbit?
The oyster bunny

Why did the Easter bunny bang his head on the piano?
He was playing by ear.

Who is the Easter Bunny’s favourite actor?
Rabbit De Niro

How can you tell where the Easter Bunny has been?
Eggs marks the spot

What are four hundred rabbits hopping backwards?
A receding hare line.

Lot's of waves (no wind) on offer on the east coast again this weekend.
Shot below taken last saturday, see if anyone can pick the location.

Bruny will be overrun. Easter is bedlam, particularly at the cloudy Bay campsites. Don't plan on sleeping. The boguns will party all night!
I'm keen for Marrawah. Who wants to come?

About three paddocks, 15 min walk heading south east as the crow flies towards Marion. Not secret now . Gravel road dead end.Nice secluded mansion holiday homes. Yes?

As much as I am soooo keen to have you all down to this part of the planet (Cloudy)to see you all in action on a good breeze, all of the apprehensions about the ferry and camping spots are bang on. There has been however, a second ferry put on which will remove some of the angst of the ferry waiting time and slightly speed up the process. Please don't blame the ferry workers for the waiting times, I know for a fact they really do give it their best to get as many vehicles (caravans, Winnebago's, trailers, Wicked campers etc) on each trip as they can. Bruny is a magnet for tourism at the best of times and the easter period is no exception, so our population swells from 650 or so to approx 5 to 6000. Hence all available accommodation, shack, camping ground, friends back yard, street corner etc, is taken up.
The good news is that all of us very lucky Tasmanian residents can have it at any other 'non tourist time?' of the year. Had I known that there was going to be a contingent of sailors coming down I would have grabbed the bobcat and created some flat ground for you all. ( I need some more firewood anyway )
For the record Ant and Damo, seems like I've been kneecapped again at seeing how you all do what I struggle to achieve every time I go solo sailing down here.
Alas my Jem Hall disc shall get another canning when I head back to the deep blue.
Hope the easter bunny brings you all wind and waves like the previous couple of weeks has provided, no matter where you choose to sail.
Cheers.
