I need to bring the learner boards back up north but want to tie it in with a decent session in the waves..........need your advice Thurs looks maybe half decent.

Thursday 5 December
Winds: Westerly 15 to 25 knots shifting south to southwesterly 20 to 30 knots during the evening.
Seas1 to 2 metres. Swellwesterly 1 to 2 metres, decreasing to around 1 metre during the afternoon

Is that worth the trip?

I am not sure that Thursday will do it. The wind is looking like it might be up but anything south of west needs a low tide at Bellbuoy, or you end up in the 'shade', and the tide is against us in the afternoons at the moment.

If it looks like remaining westerly, there is a distinct possibility.

I'll leave it to others to be more forthright.

We may get a blast this afternoon at Bellbuoy (W-SW), although it is all a bit sketchy at the moment. Jem Hall day three for Greenie - if the wind comes in he may just 'get around' today...watch this space!

Greenie's previous Front Loop attempts have resulted in some new moves - a cross between a Goiter and a Roll dubbed the 'Hernia', and for good reason. He has another one too, which seems to combine two or three completely indistinguishable moves into one. That one is called the 'Haemorrhoid'...and for equally good reason.

Tuesday looks like the best at this stage but Friday arvo is still possible but the tide is not great.

Now I'm getting fussy it's Greens I'm after not so much Bell Buoy and Bakers because Greenie and Geoff reckon it's the best place to learn how to forward.
I can't mention the loop word down here they're all sick of listening to me, that's why I have to go to the other end of the state to practice in private..............I'm sure you'll all tell me to bugger off if it's all talk and no action

Three hours at Bellbuoy yesterday - Jem Hall day 3 - Greenie reckons he has 4 days to 'get around' and that makes the next one the BIG one.

Day three saw some progress. A few 'dunno's', a few crash/burns, the odd 'yes, yes, yes.....NO!', but in the end a couple of partial rotations that had the right 'sweep' and ultimately about a 1/4 turn (that's where you land on your head, so you need to get past that one quickly).

Still looking for those NWer's, but none on the horizon as yet. Greens IS the place to get the FL sorted out. There are MASSES of jump opportunities, long 'set up' times, smooth water between the waves, and waves that give you the right amount of lift - not too much, not too little, and you can usually stand up where you spud-in.

We can take bookings, for anyone else who wants to learn 'sneaky' and take this one back south. For some motivation, start a sweep!

Love sailing greens, will be there for sure when the conditions are on. Great place for any skill level... Professional right down to my level
