... not sure if you are being serious but it matters not at all.

If you're not serious then I admire your levity......if you are serious then at to moment Sunday looks to be the wetter of the two days. The wind could be quite northerly in the morning switching to the west at some time during the day. Sometimes there is a lull before the westerly appears which can really stuff things up. The Saturday forecast is for moderate westerlies 20 to 25 kts and is probably a safer bet. While the swell will probably be bigger on Sunday at the mo its a bigger gamble......

......regardless... its winter.....two and three day forecasts are pretty useless....I have a shiny new board with lots of shiny new fins so I really really hope there is some wind

Ok so Sunday looks pretty epic on BOM with a forecast 40kt northwesterly and seas over 5 metres in the afternoon, still some rain though. MSW has the wind swinging more westerly during the afternoon but usually BOM is more reliable. Monday morning is looking OK also with a steady but chilly WSW direction. Saturday is supposed to be 25 all day which could be good to, now all I need is to shake this cold and find my thickest wetsuit.

The shiny new toy is a Starboard Quad 82....can't wait.

Because when it going to be good you've always got some excuse. Then when it looks crap but you want to go you start whinging about there being no wavesailors around
And I actually meant that you cant sail! Not that you couldnt sail.

So are we going to see the speed sailing crew set some times in the morning and then sail Bakers on the high tide followed by a second sesh of speed sailing in the evening? (evening means around 3.30 at the mo....)

Can these muppets really wavesail because the sure do put a few posts on seabreeze!

Al, I'm still trying to decide what to do. I'm thinking of a Hawley GPS sail from 7.30 for a few hours then head round to Bakers about lunch time. Its a pitty Houston cant handle a speed run or epic jumping otherwise he might of been able to go up. its strange how whenever I want to go somewhere he buries his head in the sand
Ill decide tomorrow.

Sounds good, but a few miles on a dodgy forecast.

That forecast sucks!
I've been bringing my gear to Wynyard when I come up for work for the last couple of months, but the wind / work gods never aligned. This stint I didn't, so I could bring a load of firewood back home. And work looks like being quiet Sunday, I could have easily nipped over to Port Sorell for a few hours. Grrrr.
Anyway, I'll be mostly unemployed again after this month is over, there'll be more good forecasts.

Damn Cape Grim has been gusting to 49 KTS for the last 6 hours and I am stuck at work. There must be some solid swell building in Bass Strait.

Big swell at Bakers today, mast high and a solid 25knots.Good to finally fine tune my wave board. I got so close to sailing away from a back loop a few times. Both James and i got the full rotation but then landing nose first and just crashing.will nail it very soon.Tried a few front loops and just kept eating it haha.Had a few wave rides but needed a bit more SW in it.

Good stuff Izaak! Those backloops are the most frustating jump to perfect. Im still trying to land them. Pushloops are way easier, even Hanson can do those
Looks like I wont make it up there tomorrow so get out there at sun up and crank out a few 40's, then go and nail those Backloops, good luck mate, have fun

You guys up north are cranking it, great to see you pulling off loops, Bakers has to be the best spot in Tas for loops. I've spent a few days there just eating attempted forwards and just worn myself out....got to do it before I'm 60 that gives me just 9.5 months....do it while you're still young

Yeh your probably rightbut BOMs saying WNW 30-40 for the West Coast turing in arvo
Sunday: Winds: West to northwesterly 30 to 40 knots tending west to
southwesterly 25 to 30 knots during the afternoon.

But your right its always got more NW than forecast

That's awesome, I am looking forward to getting down there and having a sail with you guys. What with work and the remains of a cold ( I have a great wheezy old man cough) I have avoided the water this weekend but might get to Low Head tomorrow, is anyone else able to take the day off?

The forecast is for 20 kt westerlies.
