Not a good place to get out Hansen reckon I was a fool to try that as I just got through before a set hit the rocks but then we all know I'm a dumb basta.d but never a fool

Me on the way out playing hide and seek, Buzzy didn't see me coming

Wow, think I would have suffered a brown wetsuit problem.

Awesome session, good photos...Ant I agree your a dumb bast..d somtimes but you got cojones mate. Those shots of you guys charging down those wave faces..... I only dream about that now, would probably sh.t myself if I could actually bring myself to go out.

Yeah you're right Fluro I've got a few more that Simon took of the early session, don't know whether anyone has got some of the last 2 hours that's when the swell picked up wind dropped a little and went cross off, it never gets better than that we need a full time pic taker.

Brett did you take any pics? No pics of Jordon, Brett, Nick, Simon

Next time I'll set my camera up for anyone to use, the adrenaline got the better of us so we forget the camera

That's about it for me all a bit lame compared to the last hour

It took a lot of self control to take a few shots before heading out, also the exposed reef on the low tide helped. So good when the tide came in a bit, wind swung more offshore and the swell cleaned up, sweet!

Sorry I'm home sick I want to go back to BOL......................... I could do that every day.................... I can't imagine how good it would have been if the tide was higher and the reef was covered, the rides would have gone on forever

Forgot to say Simon Hansen was the guy on the camera he's an ex Tassie boy living in Canberra and credit goes to him for pushing us off our arses to get up there.

Geez I forgot how good that guy is, he wasn't the first to sail BOL but he was the guy that got us locals out there and put it on the World map with the Red Bull Storm Chase. I spoke to him the other day he is hoping to come down again some time Feb.

John had this place wired, he also trashed more gear out there than Houston. A by-product of having no fear

A few lucky turns ,straight line runs under the lip and 1/2 dozen crashed aerials,guts but no
better than buzzy and Simon the other day and don't get me started on red bull crew especially
Tomas ,they took the sport to whole different level
John pott would be first to agree

Anyway we are lucky and privileged to be amongst the chosen few that have a chance to sail such a good Big Wave location
right in our back yard .It is utterly amazing to be powered by the roaring forties riding monster surf on some plastic and fibreglass at the "edge of the world" the power of southern ocean is mind bending

I know a bloke who has a little experience with a camera and was OK "Back in the day"....I reckon he'd be up for shooting the next Marrawah/ BOL Road Trip

That would be fantastic relic ,it's a magic place full of weather changes ,with no two waves the same and breaking a long way out.This makes it difficult to grab more than a few tourist snapshots or a few mins of video
even with Buzzys set up before "things need adjusting " but it offers a chance to catch Mother Nature at its stormiest best
