Looks like Saturday is lining up to be perfect for BOL.
Around 25 knots WSW-SW wind, 5.5 - 6 m, 18 sec swell, high tide in the afternoon so even the lazy ones would make it in time.
Big swell with large period could mean some huge sets.

Not sure yet if I will be going, otherwise a sail at Bakers Beach will be an option for me.

I've been burnt so many times by Bakers. I'm not sure it's the right forecast 20 -30 at low head makes me think 15-20 at Bakers....

Geoff, how is the injury,
time off water longer than predicted?

Hopefully soon for you.

G4K - more X-Rays a week ago and the verdict was another 4 weeks - 10 weeks in all, followed by Podiatrist... Grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Luka was right though, as the injury improves, the wind gets better.

Thats good ,Luckily you have not missed much .

i suggest perhaps a double forward attempt on your first outing, test out the bodies repair mechanism.

Ended up being a half respectable sail at East Beach over two sessions on Saturday.

3 out in morning session and 4 in the arvo. Some reasonably consistent patches in the afternoon and few short little rides.

My first time in the surf this century, and I wasn't too shabby either I thought.

Well Clarence, someone has to say it, and it might just as well be you.

I thought you did okay myself. I have some really ordinary photos that I will doctor up to try to make look good, and up-load, just for the record.

Not an epic day, except for the fact that it is the first breeze for two months, and now there is none on the horizon, again. It is saving it all up for when I am back on the water, I'm sure.

"I would like to order 24 knots W-WNW every day for 6 months please, and make it snappy!"

"Where's wally" or any other longboard? or is Clarence actually sailing a shortboard and why does East beach look like it is smoking offshore.....

It's the way I'm sailing it that makes it look smoking offshore. I've still got a trick or too up my sleeve .
