Yeah he was at Don and so was I back in 83...That's amazing Fos...Haven't seen Mike since the 90"s when we did a trip to Sandy point with Craig in his Subart wagon...would like to catch up with him sometime

Yeah, small world. I used to sail with Mike at Hawley for our Wednesday arvo elective.

Was that with Andrew Barrenger? I hadn't started windsurfing yet...started in Qld in 1984

There was a Barringer around that windsurfed, Andrew or Chris? A teacher at Don or Reece?
Our main windsurfing teacher, who instigated the elective, was Glen Hayhurst, he only started at Don in 85.

Agreed Andrew is a top guy; be good to sail with him again in a gunfight he was a very good all round sailor in the day I got that Sailworks off Andrew nice sail in the day

Nice line length as well, a true innovator of his times

He's still around with a stuffed knee (from tennis). I think we could easily motivate hime to come for a sail with us, he still has his gear and he's a retired gentleman now too so no excuses.

Back in the day Andrew and myself were sailing buddies. Did some great trips together but none better than the 3-4 weeks at Lancelin. Too old to remember the exact year but at a guess it was 27-28 years ago. On the day we arrived I counted 70 sailors on the water and they were from all over the world. Our daily routine was to the beach in the morning for a swim and sun bake, sail all afternoon and then off to the pub each night. Now Andrew was not much of a drinker but I made up for him. Got together a couple of years back and nearly got him back on the water. Must catch up again, because as Kaz said, he's retired now so plenty of time on his hands.
