did it happen today is it worth the trip down after work the next couple of days the forecast looks good for sellicks i would love too get down there for a sail !!!

Not sure about last night - have a second hand report that there was wind and a few out but a bit up and down. We floated around at the mid and had a few little waves.

The chances are good with the forecast - this morning is honking down here - but be aware the place has a mind of its own and everything can point to it being good and it it just doesnt happen - can be a frustrating place - but rewarding when it all comes together

thanks dude southern crew are soo touchy ..too true i was smokin sellicks one night on my 7 m,,,, all these dudes come out glugged for a while on thier 5 m,,when i come in they were like ,, wow wondered what you where on no one has sails that big down here ,,, got friends too visit down there so might come down tomorrow ,, show them how tooo sail again !!!!! 7m slalom or 4.2 wave ,, what ever don't bother me
might even have a sniff of uturns ,, the epic walk back up the hill is a killer after work after a sail but

They're a great friendly crew that I sail with all the time and must say a fantastic mob to have a beer and a yarn with after a sail or when your waiting for it to kick in - nobody owns anything much above a 6m - usually if its that light most crew will go for a surf or swim.

Certainly better more reliable seabreezes up north - but if there's a wave most crew dont care if there glugging out at times - cause that usually means nice clean wave faces.

I think you have to understand that waves are the focus of the majority of crew down here and they just cant be bothered owning big gear as well.

Yeah light winds. Flat water and no waves just doesn't do it for me. I really need to move to wa.

I wouldn't be proud of having a 7m sail mate.
I sailed sellicks yesterday gusty off and on crap it has been most off this summer.
It was supposed to be better in the morning this year.

Sellicks is a 1 foot gusty shore break at best. It's definitely a last resort for me. If there's swell sail the mid, if there's no swell at least you'll get jumps north. It makes me laugh how much people talk about waves at sellicks. Most days in summer it's as flat as boggy.

thanks guys ,,and for the record i have a nine meter aswelll ,, i live at rostrevor and the "gullie winds" have been better in the morning here aswell ,, so might try a morning run on the way tooo a "girls sail " at goolwa!!!
