Hi windsurfers South Australia. I am looking at Windsurfing at Seaford as I have seen windsurfers sailing there before. I'm new to the local area, I used to sail at Semaphore. I went Seaford to have a look today at low tide but only saw a kitesurfer there, is this because the wind was onshore? Also do you walk over the rocks with the gear to the deeper water?
cheers, Paul
Keep an eye out - when there is sailable wind (and sometimes not really sailable wind) and waves there are generally a few crew chasing a few ankle slappers. Usually an hour or so after low tide till mid tide is best wave wise but a couple of spots (fin rock and the bermuda triangle) will be experienced and soon avoided
Winter is usually prime for northerlies and swell and cracking big stormy sw'rs
High tide is crap unless swell is maxing out (for the mid) and watch where people avoid on incoming tide - its usually due to previous fin removal
See ya out there
