Pooraka Point is the ultimate Adelaide secret spot, down the line filth, when its on you'll know where to go and where to be, Pooraka point is like a part of the rip curl search .

I went down to Day St, but the wind was only 5 to 7kt NE. The Kona will glide out nicely in such conditions with only a 5.4 Alpha, but water starts are not possible and uphauling in the waves is too tricky for me, so back home I went.

Did anyone sail today? Are the filthy waves at Pooraka Pt just a wet dream?
cheers, Andy

by the sounds dad and i might have found the only wind is SA... alex (brother) was at the bay and said it was dead calm... we went to goolwa south lake and it was dead calm there also. so in the end we headed around to the murray mouth and had a good session there. not heaps windy, maybe 5 to 12 knots but plenty enough to get planing on my 93L s-type and 6.8m sail!!! will post a few pics also that dad managed to catch.

see session on GPS team challenge at: http://www.gpsteamchallenge.com.au/showsession.php?date=2008-12-21&team=32
