Whipped down to North Haven just as it picked up. By then it was gone. Needed to be rigged and standing on the beach to get a good sail....

sailed nth haven late afternoon till late, wind ok to start got a bit light later but waves were holding up ok.

U -s had some nice shoulder hi + sets and up and down sse'rs (10-25 knts) - a few "float out" gaps between squalls - no one sailing.

went out for 10 minutes and reopened a slice on me foot from Sunday and had to come in - a one wave sail.

you need some stitches in that slice me thinks!

Bit late for stitches now - just gotta let it repair slowly but surely - should have done that Sunday - have to buy some booties so I can hit the water - I hate booties

yeah thats what i have done too, after i find one of those bastard rocks at Seacliff...... ..... I can windsurf on the Mid and will not get a cut, but go down to seacliff and it a different story.

I have used superglue to keep the cut closed and when i go out i also duck tape it up as well.

why is it too late for stitches 3 or 4 days later,,,because of bacteria setting in??

supaglue-not in a fit,,your skin is pourous,no diff than drinking the stuff...

saw a few surfers commit the ultimate no brainer on the tube tonight,,,,in NSWales no less,they refloated a beached white pointer to deep water!!is it a full moon or what

its possible but need to be cautious cause Stitching old wounds can increase the risk of bacteria collecting in the wound if there isn't tissue adhesion (pocket of puss in the wound with no where to go - end up with more serious infection, delayed healing & possible complications -same for superglue in an old wound - but great for superficial clean cuts without skin loss to bring edges together.

They like them fresh to stitch but you can wash them out and scrape the tissue (debride wound - edit done under medical sterile conditions) to reduce the risk. Tetanus injection is a good idea as well.
