It's on again at Brighton and Seacliff Yacht Club this Wednesday. First Race at 6pm, beers no later than 7 pm.

All welcome.

Might be an almighty SW blow come race time. Get there early for a blast. Could be interesting racing come 6pm :-)

Hi Bluetroopy,

Skill level or equipment not important. It's just about getting people on the water and setting your own goals. The course is around two poles and back to the club. That usually requires a floaty board that can get up wind. But if you don't want to do the course, just come down for a sail and a beer.

Sign-up is in the down-stairs bar of the Brighton and Seacliff Yacht Club. You can park in the Seacliff boat ramp car park and rig on the beach or the small bit of lawn in front of the club. Race starts at 6 pm. Ask for Tony, who is running the races or look for me, Richard. I have a Kona board and a white sail. I'll walk you through the sequence of events.

Hard to call tonight's wind. Probably a SE again :-)

Hi Chris,

No, I'd stay up at Semaphore for short-boarding today. It's one of those days with SE down south, SW up north and probably diddly squat at Seacliff.

Looks like a gully wind filling in now. Could be strong.

No formal racing last night. Gareth, Shane and I tried to make the most of a very gusty wind. Managed a few runs in the back straps across the bay by hooking onto the gusts.

Semaphore looked the place to be Chris!
