In an attempt to gain further subscriptions, Swellnet have now restricted the surf report to premium subscribers only. This is a bugger for some people I expect. It was a handy aid, especially for the townies. For now the cam is still available, however this has been restricted at some locations too. Who knows if middelton will follow?

Southern Surf, the shop in Port Elliot, post the Swellnet morning surf report via their FB page daily. Assuming they have a premium subscription, this is a way to get the report still.

cheers

Surfsouthoz also have a dawnie update that'"s pretty much as accurate as Swellnet.

Hopefully one day someone will break the internet and we'll all have to go back to reading the maps in the paper and getting surprise summer afternoon swells - and predict your own windy days

Too true. Years ago I remember pouring over the weather section of the Advertiser on a Thursday/Friday seeing what was happening on the forthcoming weekend. How times have changed!

Cant believe they would expect anyone to pay for the rubbish report and the local swell modelling forecast is sh it !! 6ft is predicted for a days ahead and it would be lucky to be 2-3ft and they think a 16 day forecast is going to deliver?

Think about how many times would you head down and its nothing like the report.

I hope like a lot of other sell out surf brands and merchandise, swellnet gets forgotten about.
