The first delivery of the 2009 boards is due this week. This was by pre-order only, but if you get in quick we may still be able to get boards over from the first shipment.
If you miss out, the next lot will be due in about a months time.

I don't think we'll be getting in an 'Evo' or an 'Evil Twin' as a demo.
Maybe I spent so much time on custom wave boards that I don't really see the need for demo wave boards.
Everyone used to go into a shop and buy the size and style board that they wanted... there were no demo's.
I thought it was only the kiters that expected free use of thousands of dollars of gear!
I'm happy to give 'competent' wave sailors a blast on my twinnie any time I'm down there.

I was talking to a sailor on the weekend and he was in the market for a new wave board upgrade but was very unsure what to get because all boards perform very different these days with their varying widths and rockers and we can only go on what the mags write up in wave board tests, which doesnt allways help.He wanted to try before buy.You blokes in the shops will allways tell us what a great board it is and this may be so but it may not suit our riding style or where we use it.I would have thought a demo(especially a new concept board) would be a good marketing tool with all the hype on twinnies, try before you buy!,or hire for the day,.Ithink glasscraft used to do that?and flog it for cost at the end of the season.
Ipersonally would be loathe to buy on hype, any board from personal expeirence, but thanks for the offer to try ,i might take you up on that but iam not sure if iam "competent" enough? cheers

The market in SA just isn't big enough to carry a range of demo boards.
Especially when most people are waiting until the end of the season for the 'demos' to be sold at cost price or the stock boards to be reduced.
Maybe the distributors should be sending demo boards around the various shops on a loan basis.
