These were taken yesterday afternoon after it had calmed down a lot. It was a bit crazy for a while, the boys had 4.2s and 4s, I had my 4.2 and 83 litre but I went splat a lot. Haven't been catapaulted like that for ages.

That water looks very flat for 4.2m weather, is it off shore?

Sellicks AKA 'The Funnel' only gets sailed in a SE which is cross off. The thermal wind combined with the natural funnel effect of the hills makes it much stronger than the other beaches.
Great spot when there's a swell combined with the SE wind... perfect down the line sailing!

I can vouch for it - thats my rather 80's lookin orange 4.2 manic (which comes out of the bag a few times a year) on a 98 freewave fanatic with a little wave fin (I'm 94Kg's). - I was nicely powered up and at times there were glassy patches as well. Mind you it had dropped out a bit by the time I hit the water. You can run almost parallel to the beach and the speed runs 30 metres off the beach coming in are great fun - especially when theres waves.

5-30knts - not unusual for the Funnel.

The gulf has been so flat lately - it's a great place to sail and especially when it lines up with a nice little swell.
