I'll be living in the CBD and going home each weekend.

Suggestions? Seems a bit like Mission Impossible I can somehow go for a sail after work. I'll be without a car too. Might get a temporary car if it means I can sail after work.

One more thing: I've had a phobia of Great Whites since I was seven. Only the ones I can't see though.

Moving to Adelaide for a (little) while. That's what I said 7 years ago . Sharks: Just run over them.

Semaphore usually gets good later in the arvo and the northern beaches only have sharks on days when its not windy!!!

If the seabreeze action continues for a few more weeks you are bound to get a few sails if you can get on the water by 6ish. or drive down south and join the sellicks crew on the big gully wind nights from late arvo / early evening

I usually sail flatwater for speed but have gone off semaphore beach a few times after work. It is a good solid seabreeze from 4pm - 8pm. As far as sharks go don't go out further than others and wait until someone falls in before you gybe.

If I weigh 75-80 kgs, what size board/sail combo am I looking at? I see a lot of 85 litres in the buy & sell. I'm getting a bit moist. Looks windy.

you are around my weight so for summer its a 5.3 metre mostly, cant go wrong coupled with an oes 82litre waveboard(in 4sale section) flattish rocker,gets going fast and increases wind range of the 5.3 and will iron out semis chop
