Sounds Great Guys lets hope for some good quality waves and wind.

I take it the comp will be run on either Saturday or Sunday?

I can't wait for a good sail together after Robe.

Yeh McFlying - Saturday or Sunday of the first windy weekend in May. Was general agreement at the meeting in March that 99% of crew would be sailing so why set a date just call it the weds/thurs before -

AIMING for Nthly for the mid (location dependant on tide and direction of wind) 2+ ft of swell or Days street nw - there is usually always a few feet of swell anyway.

All welcome - from beginner wave sailors males and females - be great to see some of our top wave sailors come down and show us how its done looping and carving up some waves in one location at the same time - something we just don't see often enough - would be good for the specatators as well

Cheers

Jeez what a day on the mid I can't belive I missed it, chris tells me it was last july. I didn't know mast high waves ever happened on the mid.

Darren which sail is yours? Looks like you guys must of scored some cracker rides that day.

Let hope we get some conditions like that in May.

Marti,
If we could move KI we would get waves like this all the time! The bottom pic is me (poo brown sail) not the same day as other pic's. Now using Severne sails as you are, I think.

I took the others as I was packing my kit up.

Every sailor that day was smiling

Was definately one of the more memorable days last winter - the first weekend a few of the local crew were in Maui I think - some nice size lumps doesn't get much better than that around here.

Fingers crossed for a day like that for the expres sesh in May

Geez Darren I'm more thas happy to help move KI if we'll get quality surf like that all the time. Maybe we could simply rotate the continent 45 degrees clockwise so the sw'ers roll straigjht up the gulf

Or you could simply blow up KI and then you'll have awesome wind ect all year round. Just my thoughts don't come looking for me if some one actually does it :)

I was thinking that was well, but didn’t want to offend our KI friend.

If KI is stopping these epic conditions in the gulf, then I assume there must be some awesome sailing spots on the south coast of KI that are being kept a secret???

After an awesome windy weekend where everyone seemed to score good wind and some waves - Looking at the seven day forecast this weekend isn't looking like there will will be any wind to run the expression session - but there should be good swell and light sse winds.

Official call on Wednesday but things aren't looking good

Looks like we are definitely holding over until next weekend.

You'll just have to live on the memories of last weeks great 5 days of sailing in 20+ knts (4.2's and 4.7's 4 days ina row - now thats unusual - don't forget to check out the video and the photos on Seabreeze.
