Is Lake George very windy in Feb, what is the max people have seen in the last 2 or 3 years there. I only ask because i will be there for all of feb and my smallest sail is 5.8.

Depends on your weight. I'm 70kg -> a 5m is *big* on the good days.

I will have a spare 4.4 speedsail or a 3.5 wave if you get really stuck.
Nothing worse than not being able to sail because it's too windy .
I'm always on the water all feb.

Jimbob, 4.4 i have bed sheets bigger. I might have to take you up on that, i am finding it hard to spend $$$$$ on a sail that small. I have only used my 5.8 once ever but to be fair Gold Coast is not the windiest place.

blowcart bert is usually on the lake George salt flats that time of year, he sells blowcarts but sure he could fix you up for a ride,, ill have a talk to him when I see him in the beachport pub next. its fairly often lately.
feb is prime speed time, good here already used a 4.9 loft racing blade last 3 days and more to come this week, could sail 9 straight.
water is dropping quick and weed is looking fantastic for then gunna be heaps of crew around in feb.

Jase the offer is to have a blast for a hour if you can't hang onto your 5.8 not have a sail to use all feb ,
I done 100ks on the 4.4 yesterday and looks windier today.

There are some of us that might be able to sell a second-hand one of a suitable size... if he is interested.

Wasnt there some sort of wind reading buoy out in the middle of the lake on some obscure government website?
