Maris,

Apparently there is some anti fog inserts that you can get from go pro, these are the best according to GP in Maui,

Put your stuff up when you get a chance Maris!

We use a SONY Vegas pro to edit our movies, good results for HD stuff

Thanks guys for your feedback, had a bit of fun editing it.

Maris, I’ve also had some problems with the housing fogging up, it is a result of the temperature difference outside air/housing temp. Give me a call.

I’m using Power Director to edit the footage (MP4 files) and you can also take snapshots from your footage.

Really cool video Zubby.
Couple of dumb questions where are you sailing in it? and how much video did you take to cut down to that clip?

The music is from a Vic band called Superheist, I remember lining up down Brighton Road waiting to see them play at the Holdfast Hotel as a young grom.
The software I am using is called Power Director.
The footage was taken over a period of 8 months, I only use the GoPro when the light looks right.

Nice vid. If I posted something like that it would look more like a bloopers show, with face plants and few more under water shots.

There is a weird wave there eh? I wasnt dreaming! It was chugging through the bay a few times Saturday

The cams do have mikes, you could do 'surfin singstar!'

And as far as editing goes, I really just dump and record, I always try to record short grabs, especially when filming from the beach, I then lay them all down, find a track off itunes that is the same length, chuck some text overlays then press save, then I upload it to VIMEO (I gave up with youtube, lost my password)

I bought a 'flymount' (cha-ching) mount for my normal panasonic camera, works really well,

Hey guys - was reading/watching this with interest...

Here's a tip to stop the fogging. Those little moisture packs that you get in the box of a new pair of shoes are like gold for this sort of thing. I stick a couple in my large camera housing and they work wonders.

I'm not sure on how much heat those Go Pro camera's emit, but one small moisture sachet will rid you of the fogging.

Maris - I don't have one of those Go Pro's but it can be retro-fitted to my housing with minimal fuss. Like shooting two birds with one stone...

great advice thanks Fredo. where do you get those sachets other than by buying a new kettle (i wondered why my cuppa tasted off, 2yrs later realised never took em out!!??)
Zubby reckons stick housing in front of car aircond to cool down works ok so cam cant give off much heat.

AWESOME dolphin/tomlinson shot in weekend paper too mate
