Anyone had experience with contacting Bureau of Meteorology ? My local wind reading preference from Warburto Point (situated between Moonta and my local, Wallaroo) has disappeared from there charts. when searching Warburto the reading now comes from Kadina airport (AWS), inland a few ks and consistently quite different to Warburto.
I am planning a letter to the editor of our local, mainly raising the concerns of not having a truer local costal wind forecast and current conditions report for the safety of local fisher peoples who I think would utilize there service quite regular.

Good on ya Steve :). Laurie should add the Warburto wind graph to the SA weather page when/if? it comes back online.

Answer to your question: Yes. Blackpole was out of action for a couple of weeks a few months ago. I rang the Kent Town office to find out if this was a permanent change. Although, I noticed their contact details are no longer available now ??. The friendly tech who answered the phone told me they were getting smashed with phone calls from water sport people

Yeah, that's what happened to Blackpole. It was missing from their observation station listing (not a bright idea if they are only maintaining it). I would wait a 2 more weeks. If it's not back, then contact BOM.

The Coles Point station stopped giving reading a month or two ago. I made contact with a bloke at the Adelaide office and had a bit of a chat.
If the stations are broken down for more than 48hrs they will automatically be delisted until they are fixed.
