Hi All

I'm thinking about going to the east coast of Yorkes next time we have one of those westerly systems set in (looking for cross shore). Has anyone sailed at Black Point or Port Vincent ?. Will I need a weed fin ?

I remember sailing at Ardrossan, Rogues Point? Years a go, was a southerly, seemed to be gusty, lovely spot though,

Maybe consider Sultana Point at Coobowie, Edithburgh way, Used to be a speed strip there,

Sailed Ardroson and Vincent with no weed problems.

Thanks guys. I suppose I have missed these big systems now (going into summer). I wished I had the idea a month ago.

Black Point is a good spot to sail, sea breeze is SE and it cranks in summer. Havent sailed there for few years but have had good days there. Go past shacks & sail off end of point.

Hi Pato. If you are going there, either post it up or PM me. I would be keen having a sail there. The google map of that beach looks rad.

S018, is this coast similar to the weed problem in the northern metro beaches ?

Funny

Pretty sure I put some photos up of Ardrossan a while back. Local windsurfers there, nice guys. Just do a search in the photo section. And Ardrossan is very often windy when other places are not.

yes but worse, they get a lot of ribbon weed, depending on the season. love sailing at black point... worth a look, as are the towns lower down.

Thanks guys :)

"rad". Last time I heard this expression was in 1988, until somebody on here emailed me and wrote it. Since you guys are a retro lot (complement ), I thought I would throw it in there . It's an SI unit.
