Big shout out and thanks to all the guys and girls that made The Onboard Beachport X-perience so successful.

Sweet waves and wind made for an awesome weekend. (of course the coopers.)

Keep an eye on the Onboard facebook page and the SA windsurfing page for more info on up and coming events.

Quite possibly the best weekend ever at Beachport this weekend! There was surf, surf and more surf (I think my wave count was in the 120's) as well as wind on cue for the 2 hours of the comp at Robe (bloody good call Pete), good to see the speedies get some good runs as well

Was great catchin up with everyone again,

Big thanks to Beachport Hotel, great food at great prices, (I took a carton of Heinies down but drank none, although I think we had our fair share of Coopers out of Steves esky...were we meant to be drinking them?)

Great to meet Josh (waterman) Fletcher, who can not only kite, but is also a rather handy windsurfer and a freak on the SUP!

Really big thanks to Pete who always is generous with his time, support, advice and freakish wind gauging skills! We luv ya Pete!

I didnt take too many photos, as I was surfing the whole weekend, but I believe Susie and a few others took a few - put em up!!!!!!!

Great weekend.

Thanks to Pete + Onboard, but especially to Tim Hemer for his efforts out on the spit organising the speed comp.

Thanks to Jimbob for his trailer load of firewood and the bbq too.

Nice to catch up with everyone again, and always good to get time on the water.

Only bad thing about such a good session is that now I'm so Hungary for more. Back home and back to work and no wind or swell. Hope seabreeezes kick soon! Sweet photos mate :)

yep... +1 to everything said about the weekend so far. big ups to Pete, Tim, Chris and Jimbob, and the people who brought us the SUP boards lesson on Saturday. on ya people, you rock.

i know what happens on the spit should stay on the spit, but i was told things happened out there that are too big to be buried. not my place to tell, but be afraid.

great to meet some new faces, and then get them to push start my car.

and of course sailing until collapse on sunday. epic session (well done Sam, you are a machine!). look forward to seeing the footage and fotos, then hitting the water with everyone again this weekend.

Awesome weekend all. Really nice to hangout with the windsurfers, what a welcoming bunch of people.

Congrats to Ty, Scotty and Chris. Good work at the wave comp, you were all ripping.

I'm pumped with my new Neil Pride x3 boom - thanks Onboard.
Haven't copped a flogging in the waves like that for a while.

See you on the water soon

Nice Piccies - sounds like another great bport weekend. Very jealous

Those pics make me sick for a sail or sup but - did get wet though today - got to race a full on flash flood down a hill near the grand canyon in a huge thunder storm - a car got washed into a little river crossing - had to race the torrent down the hill for twenty miles dodging boulders and road washouts - would have been good on an sup in the culvert on thye side of the road - didn't get to see the grand canyon though!!!

All

Seabreeze paparazzi here. After sailing 4 hours on Sunday at the Spit, I decided to grab the camera and take some piccy's. Here they are:

Joe (Captain Slow):

If it's not the couger cats trying to kill us all, it's that Captain Slow trying to run everybody over LOL :

The Koshinator chilling out after a hard sesh:

Sunset majestic:

Koshi (Monday mid day). After nine months of nagging Koshi to put his straps on the outside and going from 3 straps to 4 straps, he finally did it. He goes out, and then I see him take off like a bullet 70-80 degrees off the wind. A few seconds later his 'WOO HOO !' reaches me. I knew then that he had cracked it. Well done Koshi ! :

* * * *

I was expecting the pictures to be a little better (people in half the picture etc). Sorry guys. I really need to play with this camera more (the 5 P's).

For the photo's that I have an 'unknown', if it's you, send me a PM and I'll update the post (must be done within 24 hours though).

If anyone has their GPS log data, then PM me. I would like to make a GPS movie.

I forgot my sleeping bag and slept in my board bag. Never again

J

PS/ I had a SUP lesson to. Awesome fun !. Thanks Matt :)

Have a lot of other images, if you especially want to see yourself, let me know your sail colour. Kym, I will put yours on facebook, it takes way too long on here. These pics are 1/10 of their original size and quality on here only to speed up the process.

RS4 or V8?

This might be me on my V8, but it's hard to tell. There were RS' out there that looked similiar to me.

Anyone able to tell the diference (or identify who this is in the picture)?

And by the way...nice pan work Susie. Did you crop this one at all?

Looks like Hamma to me he was on a 6.2 RSR, I was on a RS4 but it was grey/silver.

J why didn't you yell out I had a few spare sleeping bags in the caravan, maybe next year I just put you and koshi up in the van instead of camping.

Damn! Kicking myself I chose dirt bikes for the long weekend instead of beachport!

Crashed on the first day and branded myself with the exhaust pipe, ran out of fuel second day and walked 2.5km through sand hills in full motocross gear and found engine knock by the third day!

Should have just gone windsurfing again like the week before!

When is Onboard Demo Day?

JB: definitely will take you up on the offer with the sleeping bag if that happens again. BTW: thanks for being the 'go to' man for this event

jamdfingr: hey, I remember branding myself when I was 15. I had a 81' Suzuki RM125. I had a scar on my leg for years. Regarding missing the event, Oh well, next year. Other events are coming up. The next one is the Barmara event :), then a few weeks after that there will be a Hindmarsh/boggy/Milang event. Action packed ! :)
